California native plants

The herbarium at CSUSB was founded in 1969, four years after the campus opened. The specimens it houses have been collected primarily from San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The herbarium, however, contains specimens from other counties, states, and countries. Specimens date back to 1909.

The collection is housed in the Biology Building at California State University, San Bernardino. For access and/or questions about the collection, please contact Dr. Kimberlyn Williams in the Biology Department (williams at csusb.edu, phone: 909.537.7656).

The CSUSB Herbarium is a participant in the Consortium of California Herbaria. Specimen holdings and images may be viewed from the Consortium of California Herbaria Portal (CCH2).
