Bachelor of Arts - Teaching Track

The B.A. - Teaching Track builds upon the courses required for the B.A. in Mathematics by including courses that are specifically geared toward students who wish to teach at the secondary level. As a result, this program has been approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as a waiver of the California Subject Examinations for Teachers in mathematics (CSET) exam and students holding this degree do not need to further show subject matter competency prior to student teaching.

A total of 89 units in mathematics are required for the B.A.-Teaching Track degree in mathematics.

A complete description of the course requirements may be found in the Bulletin of Courses.

A schedule of courses for each quarter is available from the opening page of the University web site and the final exam schedule for each quarter is found at the Academic Scheduling home page. For convenience we list those links here.
