News: After graduating from CSUSB in 2010 and UCR in 2012 I worked for a few years in Canada as a well-site geologist for oil and gas companies. Upon returning to southern California last year I've worked as an adjunct within the Geology department at CSUSB (and other institutions). Recently, I have accepted a full-time faculty position in the Earth and Spatial Sciences department at San Bernardino Valley College. I am very excited to begin my teaching career in the San Bernardino area.

Shelby Barker

Occupation: Senior Hydrogeologist
News: Upon completing her BS in Environmental Geology degree at CSUSB, Ms. Barker attended CSU, Fullerton, completing her MS in geology. In addition to her career as a Professional Geologist in the environmental consulting industry, she teaches part-time at CSUSB, Dept of of Geological Sciences. Ms. Barker recently accepted a position at Tetra Tech in San Bernardino, CA as a Senior Hydrogeologist.

Mandy Wilson

Occupation: Geologist / Wildlife Biologist
News: After completing my bachelor's degree, I worked as a geologist in the environmental field.  Several years later, that work led me to the Mojave Desert, where I still work as a wildlife biologist.  I continue to do both geological and biological work as an independent contractor and enjoy the best of both worlds. 

Debbie Kunath

Occupation: Consulting Geologist/Geology Instructor
News: I started instructing part-time at Cal State University San Bernardino, in the Department of Geological Sciences, in the spring of 2016. I have also been working as a part-time instructor at Cal State Polytechnic University in Pomona since 2013 when I started as a graduate student in their Department of Geological Sciences. I am also working as a Consulting Geologist in the field of Engineering Geology and have been doing so since 2007.

Marissa De Hoyos

Graduation Year: 2015

Occupation: Field Paleontology Technician
News: I am currently enrolled in the Masters Program for Geosciences: Environmental Hydrogeology at California State University, Los Angeles. I am also working on obtaining my certification in ArcGIS while I am in school. I work as a Field Paleontology Technician for John Minch and Associates Inc. My ultimate dream is to earn my Masters Degree in 2018 and to work as a Hydrogeologist for the Ventura County Water District.
